I have provisionally booked a charter boat for this blank Saturday, as discussed earlier in the year.
I had 10 definites for the fishing back then, but it's time to put yer money where yer mouth is!
The boat, Rachel K, is licenced to carry up to 20 so it's a BIG boat; I have booked it for 10 to 12 people but the skipper will be happy to carry up to 20, if required.
This will be a 6 hour trip, starting at 7.30am from the harbour in Bridlington as the skipper does 2 trips on summer Saturdays. This will probably be plenty of fishing time for most, and will get us back into port allowing us a good afternoon's grizzling.
This trip is open to members & non-menbers of the vibe - ALL are welcome.
the cost of the fishing will be £30 per person, and I will require a £10 deposit per person as soon as you can get it to me.
Once I have got enough deposits in, I will look into the accommodation so time is of the essence.
I'd suggest that travelling must be done by car; the train looks a non-starter, but we can arrange shared vehicles nearer the time.
Those interested please IM me with your requirements for accomodation (ie Fri / Sat night, if you like). This includes people who would like to do the grizzling but not the fishing!
Therafter I'll get some info on places to stay... Bridlington is a slightly past-it's-best seaside town in a similar mould to Blackpool (but much smaller, and without a tower, or pleasure beach, or comatose jocks...), so the guest houses are plentiful & cheap. Hopefully we can get it all sorted for Easter.
- Paint summat on a bed sheet, hang a dummy glazer, buy a GaY scarf, Jackson Pollock the odd directors motor, then turn up fert match at the weekend -
