I think there have been a couple of posts on here yesterday alluding to the fact I had written to the FA about RVP at COMS on Saturday and Vidic at Wigan on 22 August. As you would expect everything has been forwarded to various media outlets.
So far, Ian Cheeseman has expressed an interest in what is being done.
We have just purchased www.fawatch.org, which will obviously be in development for a short while, as I want to get away from the idea that this 'campaign' is the property of one site or even one club.
The new site will therefore be contacting this site, other City fan sites and other Premier League fan sites in due course.
We hope to get as many people as we can from as wide a cross section of clubs as possible to join in a campaign to ensure the FA properly upholds the rules of the game. It should treat everyone fairly before the law, which should be applied in a consistent manner.
It's about the things like why didn't RVP get a yellow for his goal celebrations on Saturday when he left the pitch. Or why didn't he get a card for his two footed tackle on Adebayor. What about Vidic's assault on Rodallega. Or Rooney's elbow on Faye etc etc.
You get the picture.
This is not a moanfest about Adebayor. It is accepted he was properly charged with violent conduct and received the appropriate punishment. The question is why others, particulary from Big 4 clubs so often appear to 'get away with it'.
I'll be in touch.
