Freedom of Movement will end completely after MPs voted to bring in a points based system. (Good luck retiring to Europe now, unless you're very rich and have no pre existing medical complaints. But hey, no more Polish bar staff, and that's what REALLY matters, right.)

Last night saw the deadline for even requesting an extension to the transition period. Brexit happened on December 1st 2020. It will kick in on December 1st 2021. That is wether there is a deal or not. And 'Not' is where the smart money is, because Boris' 'Oven Ready Deal' to 'Get Brexit Done' was a lie to dupe morons. (Well played everyone) So in the middle of a probable second wave of a virus which has already killed 65,000 people and ravaged the economy, people are going to have to somehow prepare for whatever brexit they dump on us while also having to work from home and social distance... Easy peasy.

But now we have walked away from the unelected bureaucrats, Dominic Cummings can get on with his vision of what the U.K. government should look like. And this started a political appointment to the post of the country's most senior civil servant. This is unprecedented because senior civil servants should be politically unbiased so as to advise on whatever without worry of political fall out. But Cummings didn't think the guy in charge was quite Brexitty enough, so replaced him with the guy who had previously been in charge of Brexit negotiations (because those aren't at any sort of critical stage)

Oh, and after spending months telling us that we should get schools back because kids didn't transmit the global pandemic that's already ****ing us over, they locked down half of Leicester, in part because of all the kids in schools transmitting the ****ing thing.
