though I suspect that in reality you don't and are just trying to start a different discussion about the finer detail of the government's policy on lockdown!

My question is whether as a general matter of common ideology, if common ideology can even exist in any political party, it is true to say (as the Telegraph writer clearly believes it is) that the typical Labour voter is "at ease" with a higher rather than lower level of governmental control over the individual citizen. You can assume for the purposes of the question that it relates to any government policy, not just health.

i.e. do you like being told by government to do the right thing rather than trusted by government to do the right thing?
