The most prominent owners of right-wing press titles, such as Lord Rothermere (Daily Mail) and the Barclay family (Telegraph), have non-domiciled tax status or using complex offshore trusts and companies to manage their wealth. Their residences in Monaco and the Channel Islands are a key part of this pattern
Predominantly right to extreme right-wing, with these powerful figures using their platforms to influence politics, set the agenda, and influence public opinion. Whilst circulation is reducing, on-line presence (alongside billionaire-owned social media) keeps the malign influence and frames TV news reporting.
Hence focus on welfare/benefits/benefit cheats rather than the tax arrangements of the wealthy owners and their mates.
