She is in a powerful position now as Starmer is terrified that she will leave the party. She is probably in her last term as a MP anyway, so isn't worried about re-election... but just whether it's Starmer or Johnson that will reward her with a peerage. Expect her to resign when Jeremy regains his place in the PLP.
